Nov 2017: PACSMail Cloud - Joined at the Hip!

Sybermedica's PACSMail Cloud diagnostic image sharing capabilities featured strongly at the 2017 Bristol Hip Arthroplasty Course organised by Clockwork Medical. Delegates were able to see PACSMail Cloud in action, enabling secure on-line collaboration by multi-disciplinary teams of clinicians - who increasingly need to operate across both organisational and geographic boundaries.

Sybermedica was delighted to be among the sponsors of this year’s event which was co-convened by Evert Smith, Anthony Ward, Richie Gill, Richard Baker and Mehool Acharya. The course covered a range of issues including arthroscopy of the hip in young adults, biomechanics research and critical orthopaedic issues such as tissue sparing and risk of revision. The faculty was chaired by Evert Smith and comprised both UK and European Hip specialists.

This year’s impressive list of sponsors proved that investment in medical technology innovation continues apace. Sybermedica was joined by 14 other companies including fast-growing Biocomposites whose ceramic-based wound healing technology was born out of the ashes of the Pottery industry, Sweden-based Bone Support with their antibiotic eluting bone substitutes and Belgian-based Materialise, a new PACSMail Cloud member, whose 3D printing patient-specific hip implants opens up a whole new world of personalised orthopaedic medicine.

Clockwork now turn their attention to Sports Knee at St Georges Park later this month, where PACSMail Cloud will be once again on display.
