Aug 2017: Cobalt installs world's first Carestream Cone Beam CT scanner

Cobalt Cone Beam CTCheltenham medical charity Cobalt has taken delivery of the world’s first Carestream Cone Beam CT Scanner, allowing high speed, low dose 2D and 3D imaging of extremities. The centre's connection to PACSMail Cloud enables these images to be viewed remotely, where needed within minutes of the scan being taken.

Cobalt's new Carestream OnSight 3D Extremity System delivers:

  • Weight-bearing images
  • High image quality with scan times of less than one minute
  • Good soft tissue visualisation
  • Metal artefact correction
  • Low dose
  • 2D and 3D images
